Steve and I went to see The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy and I thought it was great. I don't think he's decided what he thinks of it yet. It was really funny, had a lot of great jokes about the conventions of science fiction. I didn't really care for the girl in it, couldn't see why Arthur was interested in her (except that she was the only other human) but there were plenty of other people (aliens?) who didn't look much different than humans, so it wasn't like there weren't other options.
I haven't read the books, so I don't know how true/close to the original the movie is, but I don't know that I am really interested. A lot of the humor was visual, and I don't know how it could be conveyed as well in a book. My favorite part of the movie was Marvin the depressed robot, voiced by the amazing Alan Rickman.
I loved the idea of the actual Hitchhiker's Guide. There are some hilarious exclusive audio clips of Guide entries available at ComingSoon.net that were created just for them. There is even one on blogging, which is great. They also have Deadlines, How to Be Cool, Fanboys, and Technology. They are all definitely worth listening to.

Yikes. I jumped out of my skin when those unicorns appear. :D Which film is it from? LEGEND?
[I refuse to read your entry about THGTTG because we're seeing it tmw night. :)]
The book is absolutely hysterical.
Honest.
I loved it - and I think that 100% of the people who red it are going to see the movie. Douglas Adams is a wonderful writer - I think I have all his books.

Maili,
I don't know where the picture is from. I found it on a really cool gallery of unicorn pictures and art online at http://www.unicornjorge.com/
There were quite a few others I love too so I will probably change it periodically (I spent about an hour trying to figure out how to do this on the background, so I have to get some use out of it!)
