I'm back!

Well, it's been exactly six months since I last wrote in my blog, but I think I'm finally ready to get back to it.

I'm not trying to make any excuses about the time I have stayed away, but for the few people who might be interested (thanks to Sybil and Maili for being good friends and emailing me while I was away), I thought I'd tell you a few reasons why I've been absent.

1. Life got in the way. I know I'm not the only one with a hectic life, but between work, college classes, friends and family I was just spread too thin for a while. My brother and his wife had their second child, my husband started a new position at his job, I was working full-time and going to school full-time during the summer, then we finally went on a much-needed vacation.

2. Once all of that stuff evened out, I realized that I was a little burned out on all of it. Between posting on my blog, trying to keep up with all of the blogs on my blogroll, keeping up with discussion board postings, staying on top of the latest controversy, etc., I was spending way too much time online. The sad thing is that I actually enjoy doing all of that, but I just don't have the time. If I didn't have to work, I'd probably be glued to the computer screen.

3. I was spending so much time online talking about books, that I didn't spend any time reading them anymore. Which for me was a really bad realization. So I spent a lot of time this fall reading the books I've been talking about, and seeing the movies I've been looking forward to. I've also been working on some new projects for work.

With all of that said, I've decided to start back up again. I miss my blog. I miss my book covers and my movie posters. I miss talking about what's new in romance and sci-fi. I just won't be quite as active everywhere else this time, and just like before, I won't be posting every day. But I am glad to be back. I've probably permanently lost some readers, but I didn't start doing this for other people in the beginning, so I'm not going to worry about that too much.

To the people who've kept checking up on me or who've kept a link to me on their sidebar -- Thank You.

Welcome back! I've (hopefully) re-added your link to my site.

I have a resolution to spend more time offline. I am doing it, too, current appearances to the contrary.

Yay! Welcome back! I have to tell you one thing: I'll never want to watch BLOODRAYNE after seeing that bloody film poster almost every day for six long bloody months here on your blog. Before you did a runner on us, I was really keen to see the film, but now? Gag me. Anyhow, I'm really happy that you're back. :D

Thanks to everyone for welcoming me back! I am already enjoying getting back into blogging and planning my future posts, and I am looking forward to catching up on all of the things I've missed from all of you.

And Maili, I'm sorry about the Bloodrayne poster! Luckily, I don't think it will be a great movie, just an entertaining one, so hopefully you won't miss anything amazing.
